First, the purpose of the English Bill of Rights was to put a Constitutional Monarchy government in Great Britain. It also said that the Monarchy government couldn't do anything without approval. The English Bill of Rights also limited the kings power. It was also known as one of history greatest documents.
The king was also prohibited from taking property taxes. The english bill of rights guaranteed the Colonist free elections. It also gave the colonist the right to argue to the king or queen in parliament. Which was a figure of free speech. It also prohibited a fine and cruel punishments.
